Jack & Lilia little bears handmade by Lynne Farmer .......

I design and make little bears, some traditional and some anime bears based on the quirky Japanese style. I have been making bears for about 13 years.

Each design is 'one-of-a-kind' (OOAK) made with quality materials - I like to use mohair and alpaca, some mini bear fabrics such as cashmere and vintage fabrics for the aged-look in some of my designs. The bears have glass eyes and embroidered noses and faces. I also collect vintage buttons, these I use for noses on the little animes!

The bears range from 4cm/1.5" to 23cm/9" Each bear is cotter pin jointed and the tiny animes are cotter pin head jointed and 4-way thread jointed.

Occasionally I break away from making the bears as I like to make other sewn creations, from the many fabrics I've collected and I have also become addicted to needlefelting so sometimes a little new little critter appears on the scene!

As I use remnants and small pieces of collected fabrics and trimmings I only make one-of-a-kind designs and the little bears appear with their own quirky characteristics!

My little bears are now available at www.sillybears.co.uk Winter Collection now on their website
